Republican Party of Pennsylvania Chairman Rob Gleason released the following statement regarding the death of longtime state Republican leader Andrew J. Gleason:
“Andrew Gleason’s deep passion for making our country, state and county the best possible place to live, work and raise a family drove his involvement in Pennsylvania politics.”
“He was a political powerhouse who was very well liked, and whose advice was valued by numerous elected officials serving at all levels of government. On a personal note, my uncle gave me my first look at statewide politics. He was a wonderful man who will be missed dearly.”
Gleason was 106 years old.
