Man charged with robbing bank

According to a statement by United States Attorney David J. Hickton, a resident formerly of Baden, Pennsylvania has been indicted by a federal grand jury in Pittsburgh on charges of bank robbery. The two-count indictment named 46-year-old Keith Fisher.

According to the indictment, on June 14, 2012, Fisher committed armed robbery at a bank, getting away with $5,548.00.

The law provides for a maximum total sentence of not more than 25 years in prison, a fine of $250,000, or both. Under the Federal Sentencing Guidelines, the actual sentence imposed would be based upon the seriousness of the offense and the prior criminal history, if any, of the defendant.

Assistant United States Attorney Jonathan B. Ortiz is prosecuting this case on behalf of the government.

An indictment is an accusation. A defendant is presumed innocent unless and until proven guilty.
