CAMDEN, TENNESSEE — James Yeager, a resident of Camden, Tennessee, recently uploaded a video rant on YouTube concerning gun control, after which he received national attention for his comments – including special attention from Homeland Security. According to an article in the Tennessean, Yeager “can no longer legally carry a handgun” and that the Tennessee Department of Safety and Homeland Security suspended James Yeager’s handgun carry permit.” The Tennessean also reported that “officials said the decision to suspend Yeager’s handgun carry permit was based on a ‘material likelihood of risk of harm to the public.'” Officials said, “Mr. Yeager’s comments were irresponsible, dangerous and deserved our immediate attention.”
According to the Tennessean and other sources, Yeager “is not a Department of Safety-certified instructor, nor is his school department-certified.”
